Revising

Revisions allow for versioning of a quote at points in time. Once a revision has been created, the other versions become inaccessible and only the primary (or latest) revision is editable. The primary revision can be changed at any time.

Revising is useful when significant changes are required on a quote and allows progress to be saved.

Create Revision

  1. On the quote edit page, select the Create Revision option from the Actions dropdown.

  2. Add an optional note and click Create Revision.

Change Primary Revision

As mentioned above, the primary version can be changed to any version. This is useful if a client decides to change their requirements to a previous

  1. On the quote edit page, select Manage Revisions from the Actions dropdown.

  2. Find the revision you require, you can preview each one by clicking the View button.

  3. Click Make Primary

Fixing prices

Prices for products that have been carried forward from the previous revision can be fixed to hold prices for a client even if the prices used originally have expired.

  1. On the quote edit page, select Fix Prices from the Actions dropdown.

  2. Click Confirm

Any lines added to this version of the quote will not be fixed. Missing prices will still require populating before the quote can be exported Warnings for price expiry will still show.

Notes

  • Revisions can only be created and managed while the quote is draft, if a quote version is any other status, it will need converting to draft to be able to revise or change version.
