Difference between revising & duplicating
Revisions are essentially snapshots of a particular quote at a point in time, these can either be used to make backups of a quote before you make a significant change, or mark a change that the client has requested, these revisions (or versions) are all linked to the same quote and only the primary version is available for editing - See Revising for more info. On the other hand, duplicating copies an existing quote, to a completely new quote.
What is 'Base Quantity' on a quote?
The base quantity is the quantity of a component that is not managed/reserved for modules, modifiers or timber wastage. By default this is the quantity pulled from the product module, but is editable if required so may not always reflect this amount. It's intention is to diffrentiate between component quantities managed/reserved to allow editing without causing issues.
