Grouping & Ordering

This section covers the ordering & grouping feature.

Lines on a quote are ordered by the line number by default however this can be overridden.

The Manage Grouping & Ordering window is accessible from the Actions dropdown.

The window is split into three sections:

• Line Order - This orders Top Level lines

• Custom Grouping - Allows creating groups and ordering lines within these groups

• Option Line order - Allows ording lines within options

Top Level Ordering

'Top Level' is any lines which are not grouped and are not options, any groups or options are grouped under the header. You can click on options or groups to expand and view the lines within that section.

You can drag and drop these lines to re-order - if the line dragged is a group or option, all lines under that will be moved.

Custom Grouping

Groups allow lines to be organised together for example for different areas on a site or product categories.

Add Custom Group

To add a custom group, click the Add Custom Group button - in the field that appears, type the name of the group and click Add.

The new group will then display in the table in this section.

Assign Lines to Group.

On the line summary section, click change against the Group heading Select the group from the dropdown Click Save.

Re-order Lines in a group

Click the group name you need to re-order to expand the lines. Then drag and drop the lines to set the order.

Notes

• When expanding groups - if the group contains options these cannot be expanded.

• Lines cannot be re-ordered while expanded, click on the header to collapse to enable ordering.
